LEGOLAND Florida Resort announces FIVE new attractions for 2016-2017


LEGOLAND Florida Resort held a press conference this morning announcing FIVE new additions coming over the next few years, marking the biggest expansion in the parks history.

The first announcement was the addition of the all-new LEGOLAND Beach Retreat.  This all-new getaway will be located near the LEGOLAND Florida theme park and will feature 83 single-story duplex units, offering 166 separate accommodations that sleep up to five.

Some of the amenities of the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat include a themed pool, a sandy play area, a buffet-style restaurant and complimentary transportation to and from the theme park.

The LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is scheduled to open in mid-2017.

The park also announced the addition of the all-new NINJAGO World! (See slideshow above)  In this new immersive environment that takes place in the world of “LEGO NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu,” , guests will be transported to the world of NINJAGO and experience a first-of-its-kind attraction that blends eye-popping, 3D computer animation, “4D” atmospheric effects and groundbreaking technology by Montreal-based Triotech.

This new area will be opening in early 2017 and will be located near the Coastersaurus roller coaster.


The resort also announced the addition of an all-new fireworks show coming this summer called “LEGOLAND Night Lights.”  The event will also feature extended park hours, meet-and-greet opportunities with favorite LEGO characters, exclusive opportunities to build alongside LEGO Master Model Builders.

The all-new fireworks show will be themed around NINJAGO and will take place every Saturday and Sunday from June 18 to July 31.


There will be an all-new 4D show called  “LEGO NEXO Knights 4D: The Book of Creativity”.  This all-new 4D show is scheduled to open later this year on May 26, 2016.

And of course, the park announced that the new expansion of the LEGOLAND Florida water park is now open.  The new area is called Creative Cove featuring Build-A-Boat. In this new area, kids can create and race LEGO watercraft through fast-flowing rivers.
