New details emerge about Nintendo plans at Universal Studios Japan

Nintendo and Universal announce partnership to bring video games to theme parks 3

Slowly but surely we are getting new details as to what Universal Studios has up its sleeves for the Nintendo partnership they announced last year.

The above image courtesy of Sankei news, gives us an idea of the location of the Nintendo area inside the Universal Studios Japan.  The location is not used for any current attraction, rather a special event location and is located to the left of the main entrance.  The image below it is our horrible attempt at locating the area on a satellite image of the area, but you get the idea.

We also now know that the Nintendo area coming to Universal Studios Japan will cost forty billion yen, roughly $351 million USD.

As far as what exactly what is going to be in this new Nintendo land?  No one knows for sure, but Mario, Yoshi, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Kirby are a good bet.

The projected finish date for the Nintendo area at Universal Studios Japan is 2020, just in time for the Olympics in Tokyo.
