An insane new way to view the skyline of downtown Los Angeles is coming to the U.S. Bank Tower.

The “Skyslide” is what it is being called, and it will send riders down a 45 feet from the 70th floor down to the 69th floor. Riders will be approximately 1000 feet in the air at the slides apex.

The only thing separating riders and a freefall of 1,000 feet? 1¼-inch glass.

“There will be nothing like it in the U.S.,” said Lucy Rumantir, head of U.S. operations for the building owner OUE Limited of Singapore.

Skyslide is part of a $50 million renovation that also includes an observation deck and bar on the tower’s top floors.

Admission to the Skyspace observation deck will be $25, with tickets to Skyslide costing $8.

Would you take a slide down Skyslide?
