Universal toying with new holiday offerings at its theme parks

According to Orlando Informer, Universal is surveying guests about possible new holiday additions to its theme parks, even ones that involve Harry Potter, which Potter fans have been chomping at the bit for.  Who wouldn’t love to see Hogsmeade all decked out for the holidays?

The survey mentions events like a nighttime show at Hogwarts Castle using 3D projection, lights, and more.  A Yule Ball is even mentioned with music, dancing, food and beverages.  Some separate ticketed and other events would be included with your Universal theme park admission.

Other surveyed holiday festivites include a new nighttime parade, a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and even special holiday performances by the Frog Choir and London Street Buskers within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Currently the Universal Orlando Resort offers Grinchmas at Islands of Adventure and Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios Florida.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London held a “Dinner in the Great Hall” event last year around the holidays that allowed guests to enjoy a two-course dinner while inside the set of the Great Hall from the Harry Potter films.  Could we possibly be seeing something similar to this coming to Universal theme parks?  We will have to wait and see.

What type of holiday festivities would you like to see come to fruition at Universal theme parks?
