Walt Disney World reveals new details about “Rivers of Light” coming to Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney World announces "Rivers of Light" nighttime spectacular for Animal Kingdom

During a live chat today, Disney revealed a few more tidbits of information about Animal Kingdom’s upcoming nighttime show, “Rivers of Light.”

To create “Rivers of Light,” Imagineers and Disney Creative Entertainment created sophisticated floats for the river, some that measure 15-feet-tall and 30-feet-long.  The floats feature LED technology that will change color as the show progresses.

“Rivers of Light” will also feature film from Disneynature, some of which was shot specifically for the show.

It was also announced that the new “Rivers of Light” theater will hold seating for 5,000 guests each show.

You can watch the entire recorded live stream Q&A again at the top of this article if you missed it.

Rivers of Light will debut on April 22 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
