‘Land of Oz’ theme park to reopen for limited engagement


The defunct “Land of Oz” theme park in Beech Mountain, North Carolina is going to reopen for a limited time throughout the month of June.

The park will be open Friday’s the month of June and will feature tours at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., according to its website.

The park originally opened in June of 1970 but eventually closed in 1980 due to economic woes and competiton

Tickets cost $12.50 plus a $10 round-trip lift ticket.

Tickets go on sale the Monday before each tour.
