FuelRod portable chargers coming to Walt Disney World

Great news for those that need to have their phone charged while at the parks but don’t want to sit at the Tangled Toilets area to charge their phone.  Disney will be bringing the popular FuelRod portable charging system to Walt Disney World.

The portable chargers are reportedly going on sale at the beginning of July and will cost $30 for a single unit.  The cool thing is that once depleted, guests can swap them out for a fully charged unit at the following locations for no additional charge:

  • Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
  • Big Top Souvenirs
  • Pecos Bill’s
  • Curtain Call Collectibles
  • Epcot
  • Disney Traders
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom
  • Island Mercantile
  • Disney Springs
  • Marketplace Disney Photo Imaging
  • DisneyQuest
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports
  • ESPN Clubhouse Shop

Each unit also comes with a variety of cables for Android and iPhone’s, including one 6″ USB Type A to micro-USB, one Apple 30-pin to USB cable, one Apple Lightning to USB cable.

The $30 fee is not a rental, you own it after the purchase.

Universal Orlando offers a similar device for guests called the Go Puck, but is rather a rental and needs to be returned by the end of the day or you’re charged $80.00 on top of the $25.00 rental fee.
