The dead have arisen at Universal Studios Hollywood as the park unveiled their latest attraction to the media, “The Walking Dead” permanent daytime attraction.
The new attraction features the hit AMC show “The Walking Dead” in an all-new immersive experience where guests come face-to-face with hordes of walkers and even some of the living characters found within the show.
Some of the special guests that were on location for the event include Greg Nicotero (Executive Producer, Director of “The Walking Dead” and owner of KNB Efx), Kyla Kenedy (“Mika Samuels” on “The Walking Dead”), Ross Marquand (“Aaron” on “the Walking Dead”), Brighton Sharbino (“Lizzie Samuels” on “The Walking Dead”), Michael Traynor (“Nicholas” on “The Walking Dead”), Scott Wilson (“Hershel Green” on “The Walking Dead”), and Yvette Nicole Brown (actress and “The Walking Dead” uber fan).
Even a horde of 100 ravenous walkers were on hand to help bring the event to life.
“After six years of working on ‘The Walking Dead,’ we have this great opportunity to take ‘The Walking Dead’ out of the studio, off the soundstage and into this amazing and truly one-of-a-kind attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood,” said Greg Nicotero, Executive Producer, Director of “The Walking Dead” and owner of KNB Efx
Universal Studios Hollywood has brought “The Walking Dead” to life at the park before during their annual Halloween Horror Nights event, but this time it was different. This is a permanent attraction that will operate year-round.
The team at Universal worked closely with the team at AMC to deliver an uncompromised realistic environment that brings guests even further into the most watched show in cable television history.
The attraction officially opens on July 4 and is NOT recommended for guests under the age of 13.
