Six Flags America closes due to bomb threat

**UPDATE** Six Flags America just tweeted out that the park has been cleared by officials and is now open until 8 PM. – “Safety is our top priority, park has been cleared by the authorities and it is now open until 8 pm today.”

Six Flags America had to close its gates today after the park received a bomb threat at the park at around 10 AM.

Two suspicious packages were found initially at the park once officials arrived and were deemed safe by Prince George Fire Department after investigating them.

Prince County fire and police departments will perform a thorough investigation of the whole park and will re-open the park when the all-clear is given.

“Working w/authorities after bomb threat. The safety of our guests & employees is our top priority. As precaution, park closed until cleared.” Six Flags America Twitter read earlier this morning.

We will update this article once the park reopens.
