Mean Streak roller coaster getting the “axe” at Cedar Point

Cedar Point announced today that their wooden roller coaster Mean Streak, which opened back in 1991, will be closed for good on September 16th.

Details of what is going in its place have not yet been revealed by the park.

“Mean Streak has been, and always will be, a significant part of our roller coaster legacy at Cedar Point.  But we have our sights set on the future of FrontierTown, and unfortunately, that means Mean Streak has to leave our lineup of world-class attractions.” Cedar Point said in a statement.

Details on Mean Streak’s final rides can be found on the official website here.
