J.K. Rowling confirms five “Fantastic Beasts” movies are in the works

Who’s ready for some more Harry Potter? J.K. Rowling confirmed via Twitter today that we are getting more movies within the Wizarding World, with a total of five movies being made within the “Fantastic Beasts” timeframe.

The original schedule was to have sequels for the original “Fantastic Beasts” films in 2018 and 2020, but that has now been expanded to five films.

One is to wonder if we will get any theme park attractions based within the “Fantastic Beasts” realm.  There has been a lot of chatter about a “Fantastic Beasts” area being built at Universal, with the latest rumor being that Dragon Challenge at Islands of Adventure would close and it would be built there.  Nothing has been officially announced by Universal yet, but with five films based within this world, surely a theme park attraction isn’t too far behind, right?

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them hits theaters on November 18, 2016
