Universal Orlando Resort reveals new details about Volcano Bay water park

Universal Orlando Resort just pulled back the curtain on even more exciting new details from their upcoming water park, Volcano Bay, including an all-new reservation system that allows no lines at the park.

Another exciting announcement is the Krakatau Aqua Coaster.  This thrilling new attraction brings you into the heart of the Krakatau volcano.

The water ride will use linear induction motors to blasts riders uphill before sending them back down, similar to what is used on other rides at Universal Orlando, including Revenge of the Mummy.  Riders are placed inside custom canoes and will experience dark passageways, be launched through sparkling waterfalls and more!

Universal Orlando also announced a new ride reservation system called the “TapuTapu.”  This new wearable will allow guests to enjoy areas of Volcano Bay while waiting for their time reservation for a certain water slide.

The wearable wristband will also feature interactive elements throughout the water park for guests to have fun with, such as shoot streams of water spurting from whales in Tot Tiki Reef, shoot water cannons at other guests on Kopiko Wai Winding River and illuminate images within the Krakatau volcano.

And last but not least, Universal Orlando announced that tickets go on sale for Volcano Bay on November 15!
