Nintendo Switch available March 3 for $300

Nintendo announced late last night that its latest console, the Switch, will be available for $300 on March 3.

Nintendo also announced an online service similar to Xbox Live, that will be free at first, but will eventually be a paid experience.

Battery life for the Switch was quoted as “two-and-a-half to six-and-a-half hours off the dock.”

Some of the games that will be available for the Switch include Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.  Zelda will be available on launch day.

Pre-orders are now live throughout various retailers, including Best Buy and GameStop.
