Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! gets Halloween overlay

Disneyland announced today that their newest attraction, that just opened back in May of 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy – MissionBREAKOUT!, will be getting a special overlay during the Halloween season, properly called “Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.”

Here is a description of the overlay via the Disney Parks Blog:

The Guardians have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, but they have accidentally left Groot behind! Rocket enlists you to distract the creatures that have been released so he can find and rescue his little buddy.

As guests enter the Lobby of the Fortress, they may be startled by flashing alarms and creepy sounds – warning signs that creatures have escaped their vitrine cages and all kinds of chaos is erupting. The Collector’s ever-resourceful assistant Apheta tries to keep calm by reassuring guests that all is in order, and this is just a momentary setback.

The attraction will also undergo a “transformation” at night when the building goes dark and an all-new lighting will envelop the building. The overlay will also feature a new song created by the composer for the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Tyler Bates.

This special overlay will only be running during Halloween time at Disneyland, which runs from September 15-October 31. Guardians of the Galaxy films, Tyler Bates. The song will be called “Monsters after Dark.”
