Universal Orlando Resort expanding holiday offerings in 2017

With Halloween Horror Nights beginning in just a few weeks, Universal Orlando has its eyes set on the busy holiday season. The theme park resort is offering even more for guests to enjoy, including the all-new Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

According to Universal, Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will feature uniquely themed Christmas decorations, garlands and lights as they walk the streets of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. They will also enjoy special holiday themed food and holiday performances by the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. And let’s not forget about the incredible new holiday projection show coming to Hogwarts Castle.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will feature more than a dozen new balloons for guests to enjoy. The parade will also include appearances by the Minions and other favorite characters from Despicable Me, Madagascar and Shrek, and of course, Santa.

Mannheim Steamrollers will also be returning to Universal Studios Florida for several performances. Dates for performances are Nov. 18, 19, 25, 26 and Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17.

Grinchmas, a yearly tradition, is returning to Islands of Adventure. Guests can enjoy a festive breakfast with the Grinch and his friends on select dates.

And of course, all five on-site resorts will be indulging in the holiday season with festive decorations and offer holiday activities, including tree lightings, menorah lightings, and Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve buffets.
