Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced today that they will be getting the first Rocky Mountain Construction raptor track roller coaster. The ride will be called Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster. The coaster will feature a unique single rail track instead of the usual two track rails. It is being referred to as a “monorail” coaster.
The coaster will stand 113-feet tall and will drop about 100 feet straight down, and will feature a top speed of 52 mph. There will be a total of three inversions, including a “180-degree stall.”
The roller coaster will also feature unique trains that feature single person seating, meaning no one is beside you, allowing for a a sense of freedom while riding.
The ride is being developed by Rocky Mountain Construction, a company that has worked with Sic Flags on several other projects, including the renovation of many of their wooden roller coasters to hybrid steel/wooden coasters.
