Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular ending at Universal Studios Florida

The closures keep coming at Universal Orlando Resort. The theme park resort recently closed Dragon Challenge at Islands of Adventure and Terminator 2: 3D at Universal Studios Florida for good, and now the resort announced today that they are ending their lagoon show at Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular – 100 Years of Movie Memories.

The show, which was supposed to have its final shows during the week of Hurricane Irma, had its final show on September 13 after reportedly being damaged by the hurricane.

No specific details were announced in regards to the new show replacing Cinematic Spectacular, other than that it will feature “new animation featuring characters from favorite Universal attractions, a new storyline, new music, lighting and special effects.”

Universal Cinematic Spectacular replaced Universal 360: A Cinesphere Spectacular in 2012.
