World of Disney at both Disneyland and Disney World to undergo major renovations

World of Disney has been the flagship store at Downtown Disney (Now Disney Springs) since it opened back in 1996. The massive merchandise store also exists at Downtown Disney at Disneyland, which opened in 2001.

Disney announced today that both stores will be undergoing a major overhaul to give the stores a more”dynamic” and “Distinctly Disney” retail environment, according to Disney. The work will begin in mid-February and will be done in phases so guests can continue to shop at World of Disney at  both locations.

At Disney Springs, Such stores as  Ever After Jewelry Co. or The Disney Corner, which opens in February, will carry select merchandise while World of Disney goes under renovations. Over in California at Downtown Disney, guests will be able to find select merchandise at the recently opened Dream Boutique, as well as the Disney Home store, which opens next month.
