Disney states that Hollywood Studios name is not changing

The new Alien Swirling Saucers coming to Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

For quite some time now there has been a lot of talk of yet again another name change for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which, for those of you that live under a rock, was once called MGM Studios. The word on the street is that Disney was going to transform Hollywood StudiosSome of the rumored name changes were quite interesting, which were mentioned in a survey last year, they included:

  • Disney Kaleidoscope Park
  • Disney Storyverse Park
  • Disney Hyperia Park
  • Disney Beyond Park
  • Disney Cinemagic Park
  • Disney Legends Park
  • Disney XL Park
  • Disney Cinemagine Park
  • Disney Cinemagine Park(Which was the strongest rumored name)

But in a recent post on the Disney Parks Blog, Disney mentions that “Disney’s Hollywood Studios name will remain the same for the foreseeable future since we are immersing our guests in a place where imagined worlds of Hollywood unfold around them from movies and music to television and theater.” So there you have it, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will remain Disney’s Hollywood Studios, at least for the foreseeable future.

They also released the above concept artwork for Alien Swirling Saucers, which is a new attraction found inside the not-yet-opened Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
