Amplified Mobility Platform’s are coming to Pandora – The World of Avatar

**UPDATE** Disney has released new details on these new Pandora Conservation Initiative Utility Suits coming to Pandora – The World of Avatar. They will be part of the Pandora Conservation Initiative (PCI) and will be featured within Pandora – The World of Avatar. The suits are used to study the wildlife, collect plant samples, and survive Pandora’s terrain, according to Disney. The whole entire thing is a collaboration between Lightstorm Entertainment, Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Michael Curry Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.

**UPDATE** According to the man himself, Joe Rohde, these are not the old battle suits we saw back in “Pandora” the film and the vide game, rather more friendly suits designed for research. You can view his Tweet here.

Disney just teased something pretty awesome on the Disney Parks Twitter page. It looks like we will be getting the chance to see Amplified Mobility Platform performers inside Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

For those of you that don’t know, the Amplified Mobility Platform’s are the giant mech suits that are worn on the planet Pandora in the Avatar film. They are even featured in the Avatar video game.

The only Amplified Mobility Platform in Pandora – The World of Avatar currently is the defucnt one near Pongu Pongu.

They will  most likely be introduced as part of Animal Kingdom’s anniversary celebration at the park. Disney said that full details will be revealed tomorrow via the Disney Parks Blog.
