The Party For The Planet for Disney’s Animal Kingdom 20th Anniversary announces new food, fun and merchandise for the event

The “Party for the Planet” for Disney’s Animal Kingdom 20th Anniversary kicks off April 22nd and Disney has announced new food, fun and merchandise for the event.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch will take center stage for the year-long 20th anniversary. It’s home to fun educational exhibits and activities that help create awareness of animal issues. During the 20thanniversary, Rafiki’s Planet Watch will offer backstage experiences with experts where guests can learn about animal nutrition, visit the veterinary hospital and hear how Disney promotes global wildlife conservation.

There will be Earth Day and Tree of Life cupcakes at Creature Comforts, Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue and Restaurantosaurus. Also, a veggie Impossible Burger will be at Restaurantosaurus, and Earth Day Sliders (mini Impossible Burgers) at the Nomad Lounge. And the already announced Tiffins Talks, themed dinners hosted by animal and conservation experts at Tiffins.

There will be special “I Was There” limited merchandise that will be available. It will include a shirts, hats, pins and much more.

Annual Passholders will also have two exclusive shirts. One with the “Party for the Planet” shirt event logo and a tank top that gives a nod to the park’s 20th Anniversary.

There will be also be a special edition Banshee available at Windtraders in Pandora created just for the 20th anniversary.

Also, there will be a special limited edition Wilderness Explorers badge avialable during the event. In Rafiki’s Planet Watch there will be family friendly activities and the opportunity to interact with animal care experts.

The 20th anniversary fun also includes a commemorative adventure guide, limited-edition merchandise, and a special-edition print created by renowned Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde. He will be available on April 22 from 1-4 p.m. to sign prints at Discovery Trading Company.
