Disney highlights new theme park treats for May 2018
What would Disneyland and Walt Disney World be without their adorable treats and sweets? The park is continuously coming up with new ideas for guests to enjoy a quick snack at the park, all the while making it fun. The Disney Parks Blog released details on new treats guests can pick up in May at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Let’s take a look at some of the new offerings.
Millenial Pink Macaroon at Disneyland Resort
This is a strawberry buttercream macaron dipped in white chocolate and filled with coconut lime jelly. You can find it at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café in Disneyland Park, and at Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café and Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream at Disney California Adventure park.
Pineapple Whip Swirl Cupcake
This is a yellow cupcake topped with a swirl of vanilla and pineapple cream, white sprinkles, gold dust, and a dropper of pineapple whip gel. There will also be a a new Blackberry Lemon Cheesecake and a chocolate Red Forest Cupcake filled with cherry compote and topped cherry buttercream. These can all be found at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort.
Birthday Cake Ice Cream at the Magic Kingdom
Ice cream anyone? Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the Magic Kingdom’s Flavor of the Month will be Birthday Cake Ice Cream! Also available at The Plaza Restaurant is a Banana Split Milkshake with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, pineapple sauce, strawberry sauce, banana, whipped cream, and a cherry.
Belle cupcake at Epcot
The Belle Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons at Epcot features a chocolate cupcake comes with cherry filling and a dress made of lemon buttercream and fondant. Over at Fountain View, there will also be a few new snacks available, including brownies, Mickey-shaped cinnamon rolls, and crisped rice treats dipped in dark chocolate, drizzled in white chocolate, and covered in Mickey sprinkles.
Cars candy apples at Trolley Treats in Disney’s California Advneture
Head on over to Disney’s California Adventure and grab a Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater Candy Apple. They are dipped in caramel and chocolate and decorated with marshmallow wheels, candy-coated chocolates, chewy chocolate candy, and sour belts.
Purple Wall slush at the Magic Kingdom
Yes. There is even a new slush themed after the iconic “purple wall” in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. You’ll be able to pick this up on May 21 in the Tomorrowland Terrace.
