“The Tropical Hideaway” coming to Disneyland

Disney has announced that a new venue is coming to the former site of Aladdin’s Oasis at Disneyland, which is located between the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise. The new venue will be called The Tropical Hideaway and will be a must-do for fans of Jungle Cruise.

“This one-of-a-kind destination will be a popular rest stop for Adventureland locals and weary explorers alike,” Disney mentions on the Disney Parks Blog. “Guests will be able to rub elbows with their favorite skippers in an exotic traders’ market, featuring all of the sights, sounds, and flavors of the tropics.”

Disney went around as far as calling it a restaurant, rather describing it as a “dining location.” Hopefully, we will get more details soon. No word on whether or not it will be similar to the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteent found over here at the Magic Kingdom.

The area originally opened in June 1962 as the Tahitian Terrace.
