Disney Cruise Line gives us our first look at the new ships staring in 2021

We’ve known for quite some time now that Disney Cruise Line will be expanding their fleet of ships from the current four that they have to seven, but few details have been announced.

Disney revealed a first look at what the new ships will look like. Now while they look similar to the Fantasy and the Dream, upon closer inspection there are some differences. One of which are the sections of rooms that are bulging out from the center of the ship, this could be a sign of more expansive rooms that will be offered aboard these new ships. These new ships will weigh 140,000 gross tons and each is currently planned to include about 1,250 guest staterooms. Which for comparison, the Dream and the Fantasy both have 1,250 staterooms. And of course, it looks like the ships will feature the popular AquaDuck water slides.

The new ships will make their debut in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The rendering was revealed today by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger at The Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting.
