Universal Orlando announces 2018 holiday festivities

In a somewhat surprising announcement today, Universal Orlando announced their holiday 2018 details, including in them will be returning favorites, including Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Grinchmas and more.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Chiristmas will once again be returning to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort for its second year. The event features The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle projection show, a variety of street entertainment, and of course, beautiful holiday decorations throughout both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.

Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s is returning to the streets of Universal Studios Florida for its second year. The parade features all of your favorite DreamWorks and Universal characters, including  Despicable Me Minions, Shrek and Fiona, King Julien, the Penguins of Madagascar, and more.

Grinchmas will be returning in 2018 to Islands of Adventure featuring the green Grinch himself. And of course, the Grinch breakfast will be available. And of course, Seuss Landing will be decked from head to toe in holiday decorations.

Mannheim Steamrollers (pictured above)

The Mannheim Steamrollers will be rolling back into Universal Studios Florida for their annual concert performances during the months of November and December.

All of your favorite Universal Orlando hotels will be decked out for the holidays as well, which is also a great time to get a great deal on a Universal holiday pacakge. More details can be found here.

The holidays at Universal kick off on Nov 17 and run through Jan 6.
