VIDEO – Disney gives us a birds-eye view of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

tar Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be one of Disney's most ambitious expansions ever once it is completed in 2019

Disney released a new video today that gives us our closest look yet at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction at Disneyland. The massive expansion is a few months ahead of Walt Disney World’s version at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but both are expected to be completed by next year.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be home to two new attractions, one that will allow guests to take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and the other will drop guests in the middle of an epic battle between The Resistance and the First Order. Guests will be visiting the planet of Batuu once inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which is described as a “remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes.”
