Star Wars: The Clone Wars is coming back for a 7th Season

At the 10th Anniversary Clone Wars panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Clone Wars creator Dave Filoni, producer Athena Portillo, Ahsoka voice actress Ashley Eckstein, Anakin Skywalker voice actor Matt Lanter, producer Athena Portillo and series composer Kevin Keiner looked back over the production of the series.

As the panel was coming to an end, Filoni said that fans still tag him on Twitter asking him to save The Clone Wars. He then closed out the panel by screening a trailer that included new footage with Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka and ended with the hashtag #CloneWarsSaved and the crowd at the panel erupted in applause.

It was announced that the show would return on Disney’s new streaming service for a seventh season. The 12 episode season would finish off the story that was left hanging when the show ended in 2013.
