Disney has recently been pretty tight lipped about the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster coming to Epcot in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary for quite some time.

Disney released a few more details this week during the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando. Disney is calling the Guardians coaster a “storytelling coaster” and will be an attraction that “connects the adventure of a storyline with the thrills of a coaster.”

The new roller coaster is replacing the Universe of Energy attraction at Epcot and is currently under construction with the MASSIVE coaster building viewable from almost anywhere in Epcot. Disney mentioned today that the building is so big that it could house  four Spaceship Earth attractions inside.

We also got some new artwork of the trains of the roller coaster, which are pictured above giving us a better idea of just exactly what the ride will be like.
