The Beauty and the Beast attraction coming to Tokyo Disneyland will feature state-of-the-art animatronic figures

Toyko Disney Resort released a new video on their YouTube channel showing off our closest look yet at the new Beauty and the Beast attraction coming to their park as part of their massive additions for fiscal year 2020. They also announced that the attraction will be called “Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast.”

The video gives us a look at some of the animatronics that will be featured in the attraction, such as Belle and Philippe. The video also gives us a look at the trackless ride vehicles that the ride will utilize, similar to Pooh’s Hunny Hunt at Tokyo Disneyland.

Other attractions announced for 2020 include an attraction inspired by the film “Big Hero 6” for Tomorrowland called “The Happy Ride with Baymax,”  Soarin’ will be coming to Toyko DisneySea, and a new meet and greet location with Minnie Mouse will also be coming to Tokyo Disneyland in the Toontown section.  Also, a shop themed to outer space, The Big Pop, will offer Guests popcorn in multiple flavors that can be purchased together with popcorn buckets.

Also opening in the new area will be Fantasyland Forest Theatre, the first full-scale indoor theater for live entertainment at Tokyo Disneyland. Signature Disney entertainment unique to Tokyo Disneyland and featuring the Disney Friends will be presented in this storybook theater environment.

All of these new additions are expected to be open by fiscal year 2020,  which is from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.
