Disneyland Announces Big Enhancements coming ahead of Galaxy’s Edge

Unfortunately there will not be a Death Star inside Disneyland once Project Stardust is complete

Disneyland announced today that they will be setting several enhancements throughout Disneyland into motion through what they are calling “Project Stardust,” AKA the plans to build the Death Star, which we are unfortunately not getting as part of this project.

What we will be getting are several enhancements throughout Disneyland, including a huge overhaul of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disney also mentioned that several projects are currently underway or are already complete:

“Curbs are being enhanced with slow inclines to help improve access when guests first enter. New brickwork adds to the storytelling of the iconic thoroughfare, and for the first time, the horse-drawn streetcar track was replaced in its entirety. In Fantasyland, reconfigured guest queues for Matterhorn Bobsleds, “it’s a small world” and Dumbo the Flying Elephant have improved guest access and comfort, while Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland now welcomes guests to a brand new area that was previously underutilized.”

Disney also mentioned that once Project Stardust is complete, there will be more seating than ever at Disneyland, which will make way for wider walkways and easier access to stroller areas, which will be much needed once Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opens.
