Galaxy’s Edge could open in June according to Bob Iger

Guests can now visit Batuu, the planet where Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge takes place

A lot of Galaxy’s Edge news today, including a brief mention of an opening date by Disney CEO Bob Iger.

In an interview with Barron’s, Iger is noted mentioning a possible June opening date for Disneyland’s version of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. He mentions that “When Star Wars opens in Anaheim in June and in Florida later in the year, that’s adding capacity.”

Although not an exact opening date, it is better than nothing, and what better person for it to come from that the CEO himself? This also falls into place with the fact that many Disneyland Passholders have massive blackout dates beginning in June, in particular, the Southern California Select Annual Passport (seen above).

As far as the Disney World version of Galaxy’s Edge? That expansion is still scheduled to open late 2019.
