Interior Images Released for Jaleo at Disney Springs
If you’ve parked in the Orange Garage near Splitsville at Disney Springs recently, you can’t help but notice a huge building under construction across the way. Jaleo, by Jose Andrés, brings alive the spirit and flavors of Spain by showcasing the rich regional diversity of Spanish cuisine. The Disney Springs location will be the chain’s sixth restaurant and will be the biggest location yet, housed in a multi-level experience.
Known for their tapas type menu, plates are designed to be shared. This includes signature tapas, savory paellas, sangria, not to mention fine wine and cheeses. The building’s shape itself is supposed to be architecturally shaped like an artichoke, which opens up, inviting guests to enter and enjoy. I think the most appealing part is that there are hardly solid walls and more huge windows that offer views of Disney Springs and the lake beside it.
Looking at the above pictures, it seems to be like a gathering space, something relevant in Spanish culture. In the right back corner, you can also see the open kitchen and grill, which I find appealing in restaurants. I personally enjoy seeing someone labor over their love for cooking and being able to experience that with them.
There will also be a Jaleo Quick Service location as well and will occupy the front-corner of Jaleo. It will serve Spanish sandwiches and salads.
