Stranger Things Season 3 gets release date

The ball wasn’t the only thing dropping last night at midnight. Netflix made a drop of their own releasing the premiere date and a new poster AND video for season 3 of Stranger Things.

The show will be live on Netflix on July 4, 2019. For reference,  Stranger Things Season 2 aired Oct. 26, 2017, so this means we are getting season 3 just over a year and a half after season 2.

In the teaser video, they posted announcing the date, it features 1985’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve (Brought to you conveniently by Starcourt Mall). That is eventually turned “upside down” and cut off and we see a variety of green words, which eventually spell out “When blue and yellow meet in the West.” What does this mean? Well, when blue and green combine on the color spectrum, it makes green. Not sure exactly what that could mean.

There’s another screen that pops up that looks like a computer screen with words such as “Welcome to Lynx Corp.,” and “Run program SilverCatFeeds.exe.”

The end of the trailer also has a really cool sounding retro 80’s game Stranger Things theme song, which not sure if that means anything or Netflix just threw it in there.

What do you think? Where will season 3 of Stranger Things take us?
