Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill has reopened at Disneyland Hotel
Do you love snacks?! Well, the Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill has reopened at Disneyland Hotel and the food looks absolutely scrumptious! Located next to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, Tangaroa Terrace is inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
The tropical restaurant takes from the Pacific Island Culture. “Inside, new décor details feature a colorful tropical mural with “hidden” tiki room birds (can you find them all?), bamboo accents, exotic stone countertops, and glassfish net float lights, with open-air views of the pool,” says Disney. And the best part? It’s all available with Mobile Ordering on the Disneyland app!
The menu features both hot and cold dishes, with breakfast being served until 11:00 am. Available are items like the classic Breakfast Platter, which features scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. There is also the Breakfast Sandwich with k?lua-style pulled pork, fried egg, hash browns, and gravy. If you’re looking for a lighter meal, try the Açai Chia Breakfast Bowl with seasonal fruit and granola. My personal favorite would be the Tangaroa Toast, which comes coated in cinnamon sugar and topped with bananas Foster, whipped cream, bananas, and toasted coconut. And don’t forget about the Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes!
Lunch and dinner include items like ?lua-style Poutine (crispy crinkle fries topped with pork, cheese curds, gravy, pickled onions, and Fresno chiles) and the Pu Pu Platter (Chili-Garlic Edamame, Pork Gyoza, Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Wings, and Panko-crusted Long Beans served with togarashi aïoli).
If you only want one of the items that come on the Pu Pu Platter, you can order them individually. I can’t wait to try the Shipwreck Nachos topped with k?lua-style pulled pork, pineapple salsa, hoisin sauce, togarashi aïoli, and barbecue sauce!
There is also a Fried Spam Musubi served with teriyaki sauce which sounds dangerous, but tempting. “Other dishes include a Lentil Garden Bowl with brown rice, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and onions tossed in coconut curry; the Tangaroa Salad with sautéed shrimp; and an Angus 1/3 lb. Hawaiian Cheeseburger served with grilled pineapple, Applewood-smoked bacon, Havarti cheese, togarashi aïoli, and teriyaki sauce,” says Disney.
The kid’s menu looks almost as good as the adult menu! There’s a kid-sized Breakfast Platter and Pineapple Upside Down Pancake, plus a Mickey-shaped Tangaroa Toast. All kid’s options are served with turkey bacon and fruit, and for dinner, there is a Kid’s Cheeseburger, Grilled Salmon Bowl, and Chicken Breast Nuggets. The Terrace also includes pastries, coffee, Dole Whip soft serve and floats, Rum Infused Dole Whip and island cocktails.
