Star Wars Celebration Attendees Got an Exclusive Look at ‘The Mandalorian’

'The Mandalorian' coming to Disney+

Today during a panel for ‘The Mandalorian,’ guests got an exclusive look at the upcoming show that will be exclusively available on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+.

The footage shown was not showing to the public watching it via the live stream, but from what we can tell you, it was impressive. The footage that was shown really shows how massive of a show this is going to be, with movie-quality creature effects and enormous sets, including The Mandalorian’s massive ship, which we now know is called The Razorcrest.

We also got a better idea of when ‘The Mandalorian’ takes place. According to Favreau, The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi.

‘The Mandalorian’ will also feature IG-88, one of the bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back, along with a Devaronian, one of the creatures first seen in the cantina in A New Hope

We don’t want to give too many details away about the footage shown at the panel today, but we can definitely say that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have one of the most exciting Star Wars projects coming that is under the Disney name.

The series will be available when the new streaming service launches, on November 12, 2019, with eight episodes.
