New Epcot Films to Debut on January 17th, 2020
The evolution and reimagining of Epcot will continue in early 2020 when three films debut at the park on January 17th. Canada, France, and Land pavilions will all welcome these new films to existing theaters.
“Awesome Planet” in The Land pavilion will showcase Earth’s beauty and diversity. The 10-minute film features in-theater effects, amazing imagery, and an original musical score from Academy Award-winning composer Steven Price.
The France pavilion will see the addition of “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along”. This film is directed by Don Hahn, producer of the original animated film and the live-action remake, and invites guests to participate in a twist on the tale as old as time. The new sing-along will run in a rotation with the classic “Impressions de France”, which will receive an upgrade to 4K projection.
Finally, an update to the previous”O, Canada!” film, “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360” will come to the Canada pavilion, bringing new scenes, a new score by Canadian composer Andrew Lockington, and new narration by actors Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara.
