Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are preparing for a phased reopening – with significant reduction in capacity – beginning July 11, 2020, with Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will follow July 15, 2020.
Several changes have taken place to ensure the safety of both guests and Cast Members, including pin trading. Here is how pin trading now works at Disney World theme parks from what we have seen over the last several days. All of the photos were from a pin trading location at Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
- Guests will select which pins they want to trade and place them in a trading bowl located at pin trading stations
- The guest will then point at the board at which pin they would like to trade for
- A Cast Member will then remove the pin off the board and give it to you
Note, the bowl is being sanitized throughout the day and in-between uses. There are still several pin trading stations throughout the parks for guests to enjoy.
As always, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news, photos and more from Disney World.
