Universal Orlando announced today that Volcano Bay, their centerpiece water park will be closing temporarily beginning in early November.
The park will close on November 2nd and will be closed through the winter season, (yes, we have a “winter” in Florida) and will remain closed until on or around March 1, 2021.
If you’re an annual passholder, you have some options:
3-Park Seasonal and Annual passes that are valid beginning November 2 will receive two additional months to compensate for Volcano Bay’s seasonal closure. If they’d prefer, passholders also have the option to modify their pass to a 2-park pass and be reimbursed for the Volcano Bay portion of the remainder of their pass term. Passholders can visit Guest Services in the theme parks for assistance.
If you’ve purchased a single day ticket to Volcano Bay, guests will be able to modify the date of their visit by calling (877) 801-9720 or through the Official Universal Orlando Resort App. If you are are unable to move their visit, you can receive a refund by calling the number above.
Guests who’ve already booked a 3-park multi-day vacation package to visit when Volcano Bay will be closed can modify their package to a 2-park package, and they will receive a Universal Orlando gift card that covers the retail price of the Volcano Bay ticket on their package, plus 20%, to use for food, merchandise, etc. during their visit. Guests who wish to cancel their vacation package will receive a refund. Guests can call (877) 801-9720 for assistance.
