Universal Orlando Resort will keep the spirit of the holidays alive this season from November 14 through January 3, 2021. Guests will be able to enjoy beloved holiday traditions and characters come to life, in mind with the resort’s enhanced health and safety procedures. The best part is that it is all included in theme park admission!
Below are the different experience throughout the resort to bring you some holiday cheer:
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure
Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley will host some magically themed decorations, garlands, and lights. Guests can enjoy both magical and Muggle Christmas carols from the Frog Choir comprised of Hogwarts students and their croaking frogs in Hogsmeade. Over in Diagon Alley, Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees will perform their Christmas-themed set. There will also be seasonal food and beverages, including Hot Butterbeer!
Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch and Who-liday Character Appearances at Universal’s Islands of Adventure
Over at Seuss Landing in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, guests can spot special appearances by The Grinch, as well as some Whos! There has been no official statement, but it does not look like the Grinchmas show will be operating this year.
ALL-NEW Universal’s Holiday Experience featuring Macy’s Balloons at Universal Studios Florida
Instead of a parade this year, guests will have the opportunity to get up-close with parade balloons and floats during “Universal’s Holiday Experience featuring Macy’s Balloons.” There will be a themed pathway that will host the elaborate floats and balloons inspired by the classics like reindeers and the Nutcracker, to characters from popular animated films, including Minions from Illumination’s “Despicable Me”, The Gingerbread Man, from DreamWorks Animation’s “Shrek” movies and the penguins from DreamWorks Animation’s “Madagascar”. You’ll even be able to take a socially distanced picture with Santa at the end!
Holiday Tribute Store: A new Tribute Store dedicated to the Holidays will debut at Universal Studios Florida, located in the New York area of the park near the Mummy. Universal promises themed rooms, with one based on Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch with new merchandise and seasonal food items.
Holiday Tree Hunt: Guests can purchase the Holiday Tree Hunt, and can search for 16 holiday-themed trees at various merchandise locations in the theme parks and CityWalk. Guests will receive a brochure that outlines the participating locations, where they’ll have to collect stamps to mark their visit to each stop. If you complete the hunt, you will receive an exclusive Holiday Tree Hunt-branded ornament.
Holiday Treat Trail: Pick up a complimentary Holiday Treat Trail brochure that outlines a list of specialty food and beverage menu items across select dining venues. Those who purchase all qualifying items will receive a special treat.

Emily Ann has always loved the theme parks, and is now so happy she gets to create content around them for ThrillGeek! She considers herself a huge theme park foodie, as well as finding unique items across the parks. Would die for HHN.
