If you are planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom over the next month or so, the park is currently undergoing a facial recognition technology test at the park. The test will run from March 23 and April 23, 2021 at Magic Kingdom park.

According to Disney World’s website, the test is to “shift in focus to more touchless experiences, we’re conducting a limited 30-day test using facial recognition technology (length of test subject to change).”

The the technology works is that Disney scans a guests face and then digitally turns their face into a random number, which is then associated with the form of admission being used for park entry.

This test is not mandatory and is completely optional if you don’t wish to participate. Children under the age of 18 who wish to participate may do so with the consent and in the presence of a parent or guardian.

As always, be sure to follow ThrillGeek on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates from Disney World.
