Disney Parks to present ‘Inclusion’ into the Four Keys system

If you’ve ever been a Disney Parks cast member, then you’re familiar with The Four Keys – Safety, Courtesy, Show, and Efficiency. The Four Keys are one of the first things that cast members to learn about when they join Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, and they are regularly reinforced throughout their tenure with the company.

Recently, it was announced that there will be 5 Keys, with that fifth key being inclusion.

The Inclusion Key can be seen with the step of reimagining attractions to be more inclusive, like upcoming enhancements to the Jungle Cruise and re-theming of Splash Mountain to Princess and the Frog.

This change is also including policies that guide how cast members show up for work with respect to forms of personal expression surrounding gender-inclusive hairstyles, jewelry, nail styles, and costume choices; and allowing appropriate visible tattoos.

This is just the beginning, but we’re so glad to see that the Disney Parks are moving in the right direction to make EVERYONE feel welcome and comfortable in their own skin.
