When Avengers Campus opens at Disney California Adventure on June 4th, guests will be able to find merchandise based around their favorite Super Heroes, some of which will be totally new and innovative.
The all-new WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure will allow riders to sling webs just like that friendly neighborhood spiderling, but something previously unannounced will let them customize their ride like never before. With WEB Tech accessories, riders will be able to pick how they want to tackle the challenges of the attraction. First, guests will power up the WEB Power Band which features “an attraction mode that unlocks multi-fire webs to personalize the game play”.
Then guests will be able to find their own powers and add WEB Tech taking inspiration from fan-favorite heroes such as Spider-Man, Ghost Spider, Iron Man, and Rescue. This will change riders’ powers on the attraction, mimicking the electro-dynamic webs of Spider-Man and Ghost Spider or the repulsor blasts of Iron Mand and Rescue.
These WEB Tech add-ons will also affect your use of the tech at home. The two types will feature “lights, sounds, projections, and webs that retract” or will “light up and blast air while you practice your repulsor powers,” respectively.
Of course, Super Heroes don’t always work alone, and neither will you. Spider-Bots allow you to command their programmed combat and defensive abilities to take on other guests and their sidekicks. The base model was unveiled for sale last Winter, but you can now take yours to the next level. Inspired by fan-favorite Super Heroes, upgrades will change the appearance of your Spider-Bot and and its battle capabilities. These upgrades will be inspired by Iron Man, Black Widow, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and The Wasp, but there are more to come!
Want to look even more like the web-slinging crime fighter known as Spider-Man? These goggles will allow for 17 unique expressions, day or night, achieved digitally. Authentic web-shooters will complete your look, featuring lights, sounds, and even a display for when they’re not in use.
If you find yourself wanting to rep WEB wherever you go, check out the new apparel and home goods featuring the WEB logo! You can also grab an assortment of S.T.E.A.M.-inspired products and even create your own webs with at-home kits!
We all love the Avengers, and there’s no better place to get the items you need to show off that love than Campus Supply Pod. This is where all sorts of merchandise featuring the Avengers Campus logo will be found, including T-shirts, a fleece hoodie, and even deluxe figurines based on some favorite Avengers.
Avengers Campus opens June 4th, 2021 at Disney California Adventure, but some of these new products will be coming to the Disneyland Resort Backlot Premiere Shop on May 29th!
