A new Interactive Collectors Edition Harry Potter Wand was released today at Universal Studios Beijing China, in celebration of Chinese New Year. Universal Studios Beijing announced that this wand will be exclusive to Beijing, and will not be sold at any other locations. This makes this Harry Potter Wand the most exclusive Interactive Wizarding World wand to date!
At the moment, sales are limited to one wand per customer. This new wand is decorated with shiny gold trim swirling around a rough natural-looking red faux wood design. This sculpted resin wand is made to simulate birch wood. It is described as containing a ‘Dragon Heart String’ wand core and is roughly 15 inches in length. It is sold in a unique red collectors edition box, decorated with a dragon scale pattern, shiny gold lettering, and displays one of each of the four Hogwarts house mascot symbols in the four corners of the gold pattern design surrounding the wand box top. The box contains a fold-out map of Hogsmeade village displaying the interactive spell locations. This new wand will function the same as all previously released interactive wands. It can be used at any interactive spell locations, inside all Universal Studios theme park locations.
This new interactive wand comes as a big surprise to the Harry Potter collectors community. This release is only 42 days after the newest Wizarding World collectors edition interactive wand was announced on December 9th, 2021. This gold and black cauldron themed wand was released inside Universal Studios Orlando, Universal Studios Hollywood, and inside the London Warner Brothers Studio Tour.
