To close out the D23 Parks presentation today, Chairman Josh D’Amaro and big. Disney Animation Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee shined some light on what *could* be coming to the Disney World area theme parks in the future.
First up, they teased a new replacement for Dinoland at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park that features areas based on Zootopia and Moana.
They then teased new areas for the Magic Kingdom behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, including a new themed area to Coco, Encanto and even a Disney Villains themed area. (See photo above)
All of these “teases” are in the very early stages of development and nothing officially was announced. We will bring you more details as we get them.
