The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania has been working all winter to prepare for its 118th operating year kicking off on March 29 – the earliest opening date ever. This week, the Hersheypark maintenance team is craning the roller coaster cars, including the new Comet trains, back onto the coaster tracks using a massive crane.
Spring Weekends mark the return of coaster riding season from March 29 to May 19, followed by daily operations from May 23 (Memorial Day weekend) through Labor Day with more summer hours.
Starting Easter weekend, weather permitting, thrill seekers can enjoy two new coaster ride experiences:
-
New trains featuring an out-of-this-world design for Comet, the oldest continuously operating coaster at Hersheypark
-
All-new seats and restraints for Skyrush, which was ranked as one of the top 10 coasters in the United States by USA TODAY 10Best in 2023.
Additionally, 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Hershey Characters delighting generations of guests. Hersheypark is the only amusement park where visitors can meet and greet with their favorite Hershey brands.
Tickets used during Spring Weekends also include Our Friends From The Sea performances in the Aquatheatre and visits to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park only by accessing the Zoo through the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours.
