Universal Studios Japan announced today that they are delaying the opening of the new Donkey Kong Country expansion of Super Nintendo World. Here is the official statement:
Universal Studios Japan announces that the opening of “Donkey Kong Country,” an expansion area of “Super Nintendo World” previously stated for “Spring 2024” will be changed to 2nd half of 2024.
Although the development work of this expansion area is in the final stages of completion, USJ would like to ensure a positive experience for our guests and has determined that additional time is needed for the final period of preparations and adjustments.
We will announce a definitive date for opening as soon as it is determined, and we sincerely apologize to our guests who have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the Super Nintendo World expansion.
We thank you for your understanding as we strive to deliver a world-class experience that consistently exceeds our guests’ expectations.
