Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest Extreme 2024

Share:

Last weekend we were invited out to Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest Extreme, our first time covering this event. Fright Fest Extreme is now the largest Haunt in California with 11 Mazes (houses) and 9 scare zones.

If you’ve never been to Magic Mountain you should know that the park is HUGE and filling it with Halloween fun is no small task. Also, unlike many other haunts, the scare zone characters at Fright Fest are highly interactive and many of them have developed their own characters throughout the years. This event has some of our favorite scare zones of any event, and this is really what sets this event apart.

Welcome to Fright Fest Extreme 2024

Before getting to the Halloween fun, took a spin on the parks newest coaster Wonder Woman!

The park set up a nice reception for invited media with some tasty beverages.
A look at the plethora of Merchandise available at this years event.
Fright Fest Extreme features some new IP mazes for 2024 including Stranger Things.
Saw was featured previously at the event but has been revamped for 2024 and is great!
Trick r’ Treat is also featured at this years event and you can find Sam throughout the park.
The classic Willoughby’s Resurrected is a staple at Fright Fest.
Army of the Dead is another IP maze featured at this years event and has taken up some of the space Aftermath.
Heading to Vegas to fight off some Zombies.
More Trick r’ Treat fun!
City Under Siege is one of the most classic scare zones at Fright Fest and features sliding clowns. Also featured is a nightly slider show.
New this year is the all new Underworlds of Oz scare zone.
Some fantastic props in this new scare zone.
Oz characters waiting in the fog for you.
We love a park that can take over their kiddie area for an awesome scare zone.
Another returning maze is Truth or Dare. This is a fantastic premise of a game show gone wrong, but does need some more scareactors in it.
One thing Fright Fest Extreme does better than almost any park is the lighting. Their team brings it every year.
The new scare zone Grimmlore Ridge looks exceptionally amazing.
One of our absolute favorite scare zones at any event is Nightmares, which is a black-light scare zone and features some of our favorite characters.
Thank you Magic Mountain for inviting us out for this year’s event.
