The Super Bowl celebration that started in New Orleans late Sunday night took a magical turn Monday when Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts had a super-sized day of family fun at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Making good on his iconic “I’m Going to Disney World!’’ proclamation that is the centerpiece of Disney’s popular Super Bowl commercial airing nationally on TV and social media, the Eagles star quarterback made a whirlwind trip from the Big Easy to The Most Magical Place on Earth. He spent the day with family and friends enjoying the Magic Kingdom, experiencing signature attractions, interacting with beloved Disney characters, and riding in a colorful parade down Main Street, U.S.A.

It was the perfect culmination of the Philadelphia Eagles’ post-game celebration, which began immediately after they dethroned the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX at the Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans. Hurts accounted for three touchdowns and set a Super Bowl record for rushing yards by a quarterback, which helped the Eagles avenge their Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs two years ago.

Hurts’ on-field performance and celebratory Disney visit were reminiscent of how so many Super Bowl heroes have punctuated their big game victories the day after the Super Bowl. Since Phil Simms first pronounced that he was going to ‘’Disney World’’ after the New York Giants won the Super Bowl in 1987, many of the biggest names in NFL history have celebrated their team’s Super Bowl success with a trip to a Disney park.
