Cool Kid Summer Heats Up: Both Disney Water Parks to Open May 21

For the first time since 2019, Walt Disney World will have all four theme parks and both water parks open simultaneously—just in time for summer!

In celebration of Blizzard Beach’s 30th anniversary, it’s been announced that both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will welcome guests from May 21 through September 7, 2025. That means double the splash zones, lazy rivers, and thrilling slides across the resort. Before reopening, Blizzard Beach will take a short seasonal pause from May 1–20 to prep for the summer surge.

This news adds even more excitement to the resort’s summer lineup, which already includes special family deals, new entertainment offerings, and limited-time seasonal events.

Perks & Parties for Resort Guests
Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels in 2025 already get free water park admission on arrival day, and starting May 21, they’ll be able to choose between Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.

Plus, H2O Glow After Hours returns to Typhoon Lagoon on select nights from May 23 to September 13. This after-dark bash features vibrant lights, Toy Story pals, music, complimentary treats, and shorter wait times. New this year: kids’ tickets are just $42.50, with added savings for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.

Tickets for H2O Glow are on sale now for select Resort hotel guests, and open to the general public April 4.
