Beginning in 2026, Disney Sequoia Lodge will undergo major refurbishment work aimed at enhancing and elevating the guest experience. While the beloved wooden décor and the authentic, welcoming atmosphere that has defined the lodge since 1992 will be preserved, the interior spaces will be completely reimagined—from floor to ceiling. The transformation will introduce a refreshed design featuring increased brightness and a modern touch, while honoring the spirit of the original lodge.

The new design will elevate the celebration of nature, drawing deep inspiration from the forests that have long influenced Walt Disney and his team of animators. Every space—from the rooms and lobby to the shopping and dining areas—will be thoughtfully reimagined as a tribute to wildlife. The result will be a serene and immersive environment, perfect for relaxing and letting your imagination roam free.

The transformation of Disney Sequoia Lodge will be marked by an expanded nature-inspired theme, evolving from its current subtle references to Bambi into a broader celebration of forest-dwelling Disney characters, both classic and contemporary. These beloved characters will be thoughtfully woven into various elements of the guest experience in a creative and refined way.

The refurbishment will also be guided by a deep respect for nature and sustainability. Carefully chosen construction materials will help minimize environmental impact throughout the project.

The hotel will remain open during the phased refurbishment, which will begin in 2026.

Disney’s ongoing hotel transformation reaches Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, where the traditional bungalows are being thoughtfully redesigned. These updated accommodations feature a refreshed theme, offering guests a more modern, cozy, and immersive experience in the heart of nature.

The interior design will draw inspiration from the adventures of beloved Disney characters like Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and the Junior Woodchucks, bringing a playful and adventurous spirit to every stay.

The first wave of these newly themed bungalows will be available for booking starting June 12, with stays beginning after summer 2025.
